“Peace of mind! Knowing as a parent that your child’s dreams are bigger than your experience is scary. We as parents in the sports field want to give our children the best training, education, equipment, and opportunities. We pay for clinics, camps, SAT/ACT prep and tutoring, but in most case we just hope that school counselor is sending out the correct information, if or when a college request it. That’s where Dr. Batichon and her expertise came in. Not many schools have a dedicated expert in NCAA eligibility and we were blessed to have her in this position at my son’s high school. Dr Batichon started with him in the 9th grade and was able to keep him and other student-athletes on track throughout their high school career. She helped put Eli on the path for early graduation as a freshman. Any questions or fears I had were always addressed immediately. She went out of her way, even on off days, to put my mind at ease. Was he in the right class? Will this transfer? Why does it sound so confusing coming from the college? Will those SAT scores be okay? Dr. Batichon always had the answer and as a parent I never worried about road blocks with my student-athlete. She had it covered before there was ever a problem. Dr. Batichon truly cares about the student-athletes she works with and from a parents perspective that’s what matters most. Thank God for Dr. Batichon!
