Areas of Practice

Post-secondary and career READINESS

We provide guidance on post-secondary and career readiness education to help students and their parents/guardians make informed educational/career decisions. Our post-secondary readiness program includes information on college/trade school admissions requirements, cost of attendance, major/minor selection, and campus life. Our career readiness program helps students and their parents/guardians learn the types of training and job-related hard and soft skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

NCAA Eligibility

Understanding NCAA initial eligibility can be stressful for some student-athletes and their parents/guardians. If a high school student-athlete wants to play sports at a Division I or II institution, the student-athlete must be certified through the NCAA Eligibility Center.

College application and scholarship essay editing services

The college application essay will be the hardest essay for most students. It can create anxiety. Their essay draft may need help being reviewed. They may need feedback to refine their topic, voice, and structure. At THINK Protégé, we provide feedback and suggestions to help make the best impression possible. We proofread for grammar and punctuation. We help applicants show their best traits to college admission officers, which will help them prove they are college ready. Let's improve your chances of being accepted.

Guest speaker

Would you like to hire a guest speaker to talk to your student-athletes about NCAA eligibility, character development, or post-secondary and career readiness? Look no further because Dr. Batichon has over 15 years of experience working with student-athletes.

SCHOLARSHIP search

There is more free money out there than students applying for scholarships. Scholarship money goes to waste every year. Some students feel overwhelmed about the process, and others ask the right questions, but need more support. At THINK Protégé, we strive to help students, not just student-athletes, find scholarships that may best fit their needs.

NCAA CORE COURSE GPA CALCULATION

One misconception is that a student-athlete's grade point average (GPA) on their high school transcript is the same as the student-athlete's NCAA core course GPA. That myth is far from the truth. Every student-athlete should calculate their core course GPA at the end of every grading period. By joining THINK Athlete (a layer under THINK Protégé), we will calculate your student-athlete's core course GPA, allowing them to understand their eligibility status.

STUDENT-ATHLETE Character development

It is possible to be a talented student-athlete with excellent characteristics on-the-field, but have significant character deficiencies off the field. We strive to educate student-athletes and their parents/guardians on personal character traits, such as optimism, humility, compassion, empathy, and truthfulness.

STUDENT-ATHLETE Social Media Literacy

Most high school students are on social media. Due to the rise in social media usage, most student-athletes believe they should use it for athletic recruiting purposes. Although social media can be a great recruiting tool, there is a right way to use it and a wrong way. As part of the THINK Athlete family (a layer under THINK Protégé), we will educate your student-athlete on social media literacy.
